MOORS: Y L Gull (ad), Shelduck (briefly), Blackcap (fem), Curlew (5), Gadwall (10), Tufted Duck (14), Teal (6), Buzzard (5), Kestrel (male), Raven, Water Rail, Coot (30) + Red Admiral and Migrant Hawker.

FLASHES: Shoveler (72), Teal (58), Lapwing (87), Kestrel (male), Rook.

FLASHES: Stonechat (2), Curlew (5), Lapwing (c70), Shoveler (35), Teal (12), Little Grebe (1), Redwing (c70), Little Egret (1), Grey Wagtail, Linnet (25), Pheasant, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Raven + G C Grebe (4) on the Sailing Pool.

Re my post above, on further research (and please correct me if I'm wrong as I don't use eBird), it seems that eBird does not provide a 'yarrellii' selection for 'our' Pied Wagtail but defaults to 'alba' ie the White Wagtail sub species. So that's confusing and with a few other naming issues on eBird it's probably better to use BirdTrack in the UK! Given the above, I suspect the recorder meant to record Pied Wagtail but was unable to do so. As I say, I may be wrong but if anyone uses eBird regularly it would be interesting to know if this is the case.
