September 10, Fraser's Hill to Bentong, Malaysia

One of the biggest public holidays of the year in Malaysia (Hari Raya Puasa - the end of Ramadan) and school holidays in Singapore and Malaysia meant Fraser's Hill becoming over-run with people for a long weekend and hotels all booked out. So a casual drive with frequent stops from Fraser's Hill heading down to Bentong being the plan for the day.

It rained all night and was still drizzling in the morning with the cloud level well below Fraser's Hill meaning birding wouldn't have been much fun anyway however before leaving we started the morning the same as yesterday - but this time successfully!

583. Malayan Whistling Thrush

It was then back down to The Gap where the best birds were an adult and immature Rufous Piculet.

584. Mountain Tailorbird
