This had to be the most difficult.....whatever were the other 12 like?

Whilst there were great Bird in flight photos...I stuck to the Birds in flight /Flock of Birds descriptor....(helped cut out some brill pics!!)

Even so very difficult...congrats to all selected for the final...like the pic that is in the lead at the moment but not my final choice!!

There were only 30 photographs but the choice was so difficult. Well done to all who managed to get into the final vote.

All excellent photos! But the fact the contest did go to the trouble of mentioning "flock" I discounted all of the solo bird images - even though there were some really great shots.

Suggestion

I feel bad having to decide for only one, since I am not sure which one I like the most. My suggestion is: Why not allow a maximum of three votes? In this way, I see that both voters and fellow birders in the competition will feel better.

I think the voting is going well, users are using there taste and I have to agree with the order of votes recieved with each photo, different taste is what makes these comps great, A award winning shot on one site my not do well on another, but to give 3 votes per person, would only have many voting 3 times on there favorite. and so you know Im not coming out of nowhere, I submitted "banking left" which is not attracting much attention, but I feel that is what makes contests great from site to site, the different opinions. visit my site and tell me which photo I should have submitted LOL. take care all.. http://www.armaniphotography.com under heavy construction. Thanks.

Well This Was Very Hard But I Loves My Hummers ! So Thats Who I Voted For ! Although Every One Was So Great It Was A Hard Choice ! Good Luck To Al Of You

I'm afraid the software we use only allows for one vote per member. It's either one vote or limitless votes!

It would be nice to have a 1st,2nd and 3rd preference - but I think part of the attraction of working this way is that you really do have to think hard to decide your favourite - whatever criteria you use to make your choice.

With the high quality of the entries this month I am really surprised at the spread of the votes so far. I had expected them to be more evenly matched.

Very well done everyone! I do think the number of finallist should be cut to maybe 10 or 15 though. Difficult choice

Wow... what a collection. Those pictures are absolutely amazing. It's such a hard decision to make; picking only one. I was torn between three of them...

Yes indeed, there were some very nice pictures, but the 'feet first' was a real momental shot, I guess.
Luck to all of you, and my picture will come next time as well...

Tillart

Last reminder as the poll closes tomorrow morning ( for me at least ;) ) so anyone not yet voted - get them in.

Maybe a slight delay in announcing the winner as if the weather is decent I'll be out early in the morning.
