Hi all, I got this photo of what I thought was a Sedge Warbler at Medmerry on the 28th, but it sure doesn't look like one no I'm looking at the photo. I'm wondering if it might be a young chiffchaff, but I got onto it due to it making a sedge/reed warbler like chattering noise. Is wood warbler out of the question?

It is a phyllosc, either Willow or Chiff but hard to be sure when looking on a phone.

I think willow….but only because I think I can see pale feet.

Willow Warbler because of long primary projection. feet are not reliable.

To be explicit... Toes are to be ignored in the pale legs/dark legs thing - as is the lowest part of the 'leg' ( = tarsus). And of course tarsus colour isn't fully reliable anyway as a distinguishing feature. ('Foot' technically comprises tarsus + toes.)

It could have been another bird in the same bush I suppose, I heard the noise from the bush and then this bird emerged a few seconds later; I didn't actually see it call
