Welcome to Nick's dining room table. (3 Viewers)

I've been looking in on this thread for a bit, and not posted, but I think I have to now just to say how great I think that BHG painting is!

Hope you enjoy your hols.

Missed ya! Too late I know but I hope you're having a great holiday (and a productive one too). Looking forward to seeing the sketches already!

Mike

Oh - I thought it was quiet round here. I missed the airport reference too, so have a grand holiday. (Or - hope you had a grand holiday.)

Just realized that I'm little belated..have great holiday time Nick and
come back healthy and inspired!
Thank you for sharing your exceptional Artwork with us and
I'm looking forward to see new stuff in the nearest future!

All the best,

Paschalis

I'm just catching up after a summer looking after a friend's dog and not being able to get out birding :-C
That gull in the rain painting is outstaning - I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :t: Hubby Neil loved the oystercatchers with chicks.

Have a great holiday Nick with LOTS of fabulous birds B :)

Hiya all, thanks for the holiday wishes, came back with wonderful English tan (3 tones around the ankles) 3 lifers, (Subalp warbler, Rock Thrush and Blue Rock Thrush and a recipe for Limoncello (very alcoholic lemony syrup - like cough syrup but better).

Des, the inspiration for the sinister feel behind the bee eater is perhaps sheer frustration of trying to get it finished in time to pack my suitcase - I wasn't in the jolliest of moods! :)

Anyway, here's some sketches from the hols: beach- Sardinian warbler, Scarce Swallowtail, and a nest of Crag Martins in the bar in a cave...

Hah! I almost suggested it might be inspired by packing the suitcase, but wasn't cheeky enough!

Anyway, welcome back, your sketchbook suggests you had a good time. Lovely stuff.

Nick's back!!

First of all - wow! A bit busy right now, but gotta say: that crow and magpies is absolutely stunning - I can see a painting coming out of that. Splendid sketches, looks like you've had a great time. :)

Making a start on getting some paintings done, here are a couple of Bee eaters, it was going to be a watercolour, but then other ideas came along.

Welcome back Nick! Looks like you've had a good break and there's some stunning paintings to come from the stunning fieldwork. The maggies and hoodie is, as others have said, the outstanding one and amongst this little lot that's saying something.
