Wild Britain - A Bird Photo Exhibition (1 Viewer)

This is a plug for any forumers here who reside in the Greater Manchester, Cheshire or Lancashire area of the north west. Just to inform you all, if you haven't already heard about it, that there has been a great little photographic exhibition of some excellent bird pictures here at The Manchester Museum (on Oxford Road, right in the heart of the University building complex), titled "Wild Britain". It's on the ground floor and the exhibition started back in mid-July and will be there until the end of February 2007.

For any bird buffs and those of you who love taking pictures of them, I strongly recommend you try and get yourself down/up to see this exhibition.... it has been very popular with day visitors, school kids and passing casual admirers alike...who descend in their droves to see the portraits as well as learn more about the small furry creatures and birds of prey, of which a few stuffed specimens are also on display for drawing etc....

All the work is that of a local Stockport-based photographer called Ben Hall and the pictures are even available for purchasing.

You can see a cross section of his excellent work on the website: www.benhallphotography.com

The exhibition is open Tuesdays to Saturdays between 10am and 5pm and Sundays and Mondays between 11am and 4pm. I help out as a volunteer each Thursday afternoon at the exhibition and it would be great to see some of you there. :)
