Hi all,
I am keen to start digiscoping, and after spending several nights searching the web trying to work out what kit I need, my brain is frazzled! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Nikon RA iii 82 WP spotting scope (not angled) and I'm looking for a compact camera that will be compatible with it.
1. I've read that 3x and 4x optical zoom is best, but I'm struggling to find anything below 5x - is that too much?
2. I've also read that I may need to buy a specific digiscoping eyepiece for my scope - is this necessary, or will the standard 25x eyepiece be okay?
3. I'm also struggling to find a compact with remote release. It this essential?Would a camera with good image stabilising tech in it do the trick? (ie, Canon PowerShot A3500 IS)
Any advice/suggestions would be great!
Thanks
