Identification
27 cm
- Violet blue and purple neck iridescence

Similar Species
Has a longer bill and is larger and darker than White-eared Brown Dove.
Distribution
South-east Asia: endemic to the Philippines.

- Luzon, Mindanao and adjacent Philippines
- P. a. imeldae:
- Marinduque (north-central Philippines)
- P. a. maculipectus:
- Montane forests of Negros (east-central Philippines)

- Cebu (east-central Philippines). Probably extinct

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
