Identification

29–35 cm (11½-13¾ in)

Distribution

South America: From southern Bolivia to central Argentina, Uruguay, western Paraguay and southwest Brazil.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Farmland, woodland and scrub.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of spiders and centipedes; they also eat some plant material.
