South America: found in Peru and Bolivia

Taxonomy

Subspecies[1]

There are 2 subspecies

  • P. i. intermedia:
  • Subtropical Andes of Peru (La Libertad to Junín)
  • P. i. signata:
  • Andes of south-eastern Peru (Cusco and Puno) to western Bolivia

Habitat

Moist montanes.
