Identification

Photographed at Lages/SC, Brazil.

Current Taxonomy

By many the monotypic genus Heteroxolmis is disallowed and this bird is collocated within genus Xolmis. The current Sibley-Monroe, however, does recognize genus Heteroxolmis.
