Identification

  • Black, slightly decurved bill

Male

  • Emerald-green gorget
  • Bronzed upperparts
  • Black Underparts

Female

  • Coppery-bronze upperparts
  • Greyish-brown underparts

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Puna grassland, rocky areas, and gardens..

Behaviour

Diet

They feed mainly from cactus flowers.
