Identification

20cm. Black forehead and central crown, white lores, ash grey upper parts, blackish back, black upper tail coverts, dirty white under parts dirty, white under tail coverts, black wings, black tail, whitish outer webs of external rectrices, blackish, long and little bent tipped bill.

Distribution

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

High-altitude grassland.
