Identification

Turquoise upper and lower parts, and long tail, black head and throat, grey bill.

Distribution

Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

Taxonomy

There are 2 subspecies.

Habitat

Mixed woodland, coffee plantations, pine/oak forest, and cloud forest habitats to over 2,000m.
