Genus: Mohoua
Description
These three Mohuas from New Zealand have a much more Warbler-like bill than other Whistlers.
Taxonomy
Mohoua is a genus in the Family Pachycephalidae.
They have been placed in different families in the past, including Paridae, Timaliidae, Orthonychidae, Campephagidae, Sylviidae and Maluridae.
Gill and Donsker now place this genus in its own family Mohouidae.
The extinct Piopio may have belonged to this genus too, Pipipi was formerly sometimes placed in its own genus Finschia.
