• Northern Colombia and north-western Venezuela

• South-eastern Colombia to north-western Brazil and Suriname

• P. c. guianensis:

• French Guiana

• P. c. paraensis:

• North-eastern Brazil

• P. c. laemostictus:

• North-western Brazil

• P. c. hypochryseus:

• Western Brazil to northern Bolivia

• P. c. chrysochloros:

• Central and southern Brazil to Bolivia, western Paraguay and northern Argentina

• P. c. polyzonus:

• South-eastern Brazil (Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro)

Habitat

Chaco, open fields with bushes.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of ants and termites.
