Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
The SACC (2007, 2008) split Todd's Nightjar Caprimulgus heterurus from this Caprimulgus parvulus; this split was accepted by Gill & Wright (2008) and BirdLife International (2008).
