Identification

16-19 cm.

Distribution

Louisiade Archipelago

Taxonomy

Sometimes regarded conspecific with Golden Whistler and formerly regarded conspecific with Bismarck Whistler. Now split into two species by Clements[1].

Subspecies

  • P. c. collaris: Louisiade Archipelago
  • P. c. misimae: Misima Island (Louisiade Archipelago)
  • P. c. rosseliana: Rossel Island (Louisiade Archipelago)

Habitat

Behaviour

Feeds mainly on insects and spiders.
