Distribution
South-east Asia: found only in the Philippines.
Taxonomy
This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 3 subspecies.
Subspecies
- H. g. gracilis:
- Southern Philippines (Mount Hilong Hilong on northeastern Mindanao)
- H. g. goodfellowi:
- Southern Philippines (Mounts Apo, Matutum, Mayo, Katanglad on Mindanao)
- H. g. malindangensis:
- Southern Philippines (Mount Malindang on Mindanao)
Habitat
Mmontane and sub-montane forests and forest edges at heights around 1250 to 2400 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Very little information is available. They have been observed in mixed flocks with Cinnamon Ibon.
