Description

TAXONOMY: Here the Scarlet Robin (P. boodang) of the Australian mainland and Tasmania is considered a species separate from the Pacific Robin (P. multicolor), which is found on numerous islands in the west Pacific. When the two are considered conspecific, the enlarged species is called the Scarlet Robin (P. multicolor).
