Identification
Distribution
From southeastern Peru and northern Bolivia to south central Amazonian Brazil.
Taxonomy
Two subspecies recognized:
- E. a. amazonica
- E. a. dentei
- south central Amazonian Brazil, between the Madeira/Ji-Paraná rivers and the Aripuanã River - originally described as full species, Roosevelt Antwren
Formerly considered conspecific with Rufous-backed Antwren and Fulvous-throated Antwren under the name Stipple-throated Antwren.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
Behaviour
The diet includes insects and spiders.
