Identification
Black bill, two dull grey wing-bars and pale grey edging to the wing feathers.
Distribution
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
Three subspecies are recognized[1]:
- M.f. brunnescens
- M.f. ferox
- M.f. australis
Habitat
Edges and borders of forest and woodland.
