Identification

Bill is bluish-gray on the bluish-white male; female has browner upperside.

Distribution

Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and westernmost Panama. At least in Panama limited to the Caribbean side1.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Canopy of moist lowland forests and borders.

Behaviour

It builds a small cup shaped nest of dry tendrils and lichens. 1 large egg is laid, which is incubated for 27 days.
