Dicaeum agile

Identification

10cm. Olive-green upperparts, greyish white underparts, streaked on the breast, short tail, short thick curved bill and tubular tongue.

Distribution

Southern Asia from India east to Indonesia and Timor.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Forests, other well-wooded habitats and cultivation.

Behaviour

It builds a purse-like nest suspended from a tree. 2-4 eggs are laid.

The diet includes nectar, berries, spiders and insects.
