Identification

17 cm (6¾ in)

  • Large,heavily streaked pipit

Distribution

Asia: eastern Afghanistan, south-eastern China, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Western Himalayas, Hong Kong
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Hill slopes and flats between 1000-3000 meters during different seasons.

Behaviour

Diet

They forage on the ground, in a creeping fashion, for small invertebrates.
