Identification
Male: Glossy blue black above, blue patch on wing, large white throat plus upper breast. Female: mostly gray underside.
Distribution
Northern Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and eastern Venezuela.
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Habitat
Mountain forests.
