Same story and I still have them, used them for 25 years but not anymore since I have NL Pure.I used to thave a predecessor for decades, the "tank" model Trinovid B. Had to give it up due to increasing problems with eye relief.
But I just lent them to a friend who had no binoculars and went to a safari: they did the job and he was not disappointed.
The same, lighter with a bigger eye-relief and some updated optics would be a hoot. But wait, I've just described what we expect the SFL 8x30 to be except for the tank analogy maybe.
