White Blackbird Uk (1 Viewer)

Quercus

homo sarkensis
Back in October, I had a white blackbird in the garden. I just wondered, as it has distinctive wing marks, has any one seen it since (or before).

It arrived, here in Argyll with a noticable fall of blackbirds and other thrushes, stayed for about a week, then moved on.

Can't help, I'm afraid. But thanks for the photo. It took me back nearly 50 years to when I was a kid and saw a white Blackbird in Carlisle.

It's not the same bird. mine had more black feathers in the wing.

I'm sure that it, and the flock it was with, were on the move to somewhere, we get an influx of thrushes (Blackbirds, mistles, redwings and fieldfares) passing through in October/November. I just thought if someone recognised it, it might give me a clue as to where these birds are going to (or coming from ). There doesn't seem to be a passage through in the spring.

I love the contrast with the orange bill and the white!
