I've attached a pic of the Fenix PD30 LED flashlight attached to my ED2's with a tripod adapter and some velcro. It works!! The 3 feet of white snow on the ground probably helps, but even looking across the river 100 yards away (it's frozen only around the edges, so it's dark most of the way across), it's QUITE effective!! OK, cool, now what do I do with it?? lol

Or owls or nocturnal mammals ... both have good eyeshine!

Owls often stay put even when illuninated by a flashlight (long enough to get an ID ... though if they call that's rather better!).
