Was this up at Plum Island by any chance? I was there last weekend and kept hearing about this, someone tried to show it to me in a spotting scope.
This is a beauty. Nice capture !
 
Not plum island but there are generally many semipalmated sandpipers there, I photograph them often on sandy point. Thank you!

I just love the low angle you've taken this from Kadawe. You've got some great water effects, which wouldn't have been seen from higher up.

A super picture of this 'piper - very well done lad.
