Thank you all for your kind words. The birds which year round in this habitat have learned to live with man and are somewhat approachable. Rather than doing his own fishing I believe the heron is waiting for a handout. He must have already investigated and found he was unable to help himself to the fisherman's baitfish.

So funny, so appropriate to theme! Is the man ignoring him, taking him for granted, or unaware of bird's presence?? Great entry! You might want to add species name, and I don't mean Homo sapiens!
