Prairie Nymph (Herbertia lahue: Iridaceae) 15.4-30.5 cm (6-12 in) tall. Flowers are ca. 5 cm (2.0 in) across.
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, open prairie and coastal woodlands at 3 m (9.8 ft) elevation.
Location
Dr. Ned & Fay Dudney Nature Center, League City, Galveston, Galveston County, Texas, USA.
