Rose-ringed Parakeet

Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri)

I've calmed down a bit from my Ring Ouzel (and reported it to the Recorder). Though not a lifer, it feels like the bird of a lifetime, better than all the rarities I've seen (which were found by other people, and weren't in my garden). But with birds, you never quite know what's going to turn up next...

Meanwhile, here's a parakeet. Raucous, but colourful and probably quite brainy.

Thank you for your kind comments on my pictures, and good birding!

You've got a super picture of this parakeet too, haven't you - some great detail and in flight mode to boot!

Excellent work here John - very well done my friend.
