Spring Beauty
Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica: Montiaceae) This early flowering herbaceous perennial is quite showy despite its small flower size, 0.7-1.4 cm (0.3-3.6 in) in diameter.
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area, open manicured park with scattered pecan and oak trees with two disjunct riparian woodlands plus Briar Creek at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.

Flowers indicate spring here as well. Lovely picture of these flowers. We got Eurasian wild garlic here at this time of the year. A very delicious plant (the green leafs).
