Texas Thistle
Texas Thistle (Cirsium texanum: Asteraceae) with a western honeybee (Apis milliners: Apidae) and a Kern’s Flower Scarab (Euphoria kernii: Scarabaeidae). I see two other critters but I can’t make them out.
Habitat
Edwards Plateau, sewage ponds adjacent to the Colorado River next to the river is a riparian hackberry/elm woods and elsewhere the ponds are surrounded by open fields at 134 m (440 ft) elevation.
