Rare and Scarce Birds in Warwickshire (2 Viewers)

Steve any description? Might have an idea who it is!!

Hi Dave , now you're asking , I'd be hopeless in trying to identify someone in an identity parade 3:)
here goes, quite a stocky, clean shaven bloke , ie no obvious facial hair, wearing a tee shirt , may have been white , or off white anyway and a baseball type cap, he had a tripod with him but was using a hand held camera , which didnt have one of those mega lenses
do you think I would get this past the Rarities committee ? what do you reckon :t:

It seems to be staying in the same spot so anytime I would think.

John

Hi

Could anyone tell me a post code for me to type in the old sat nav for the Night Heron? Crossing my finger it stays put and as its not too far from the Plover I am hoping to do the pair tomorrow.

Cheers

Tim.

Nailed the Night Heron today, and had the (dubious) pleasure of meeting the "Bailiff". He stopped me at the gate and the first words out of his mouth were "If you're thinking of going to see that bird, don't!". He then proceeded to lecture me about "twitchers" disturbing the carp and trampling the grass etc. He also advised me that there was no public access to the site. Lucky I found a trail over the field then! ;) Thanks to the others present for letting me use your scope and being better company than that chap!

Brilliant, typical Nuneaton. Come on Mr Hutton, it's time for a big-up of the Nuneaton massive! :-O

In a past life I've spent many a miserable time in Nuneaton. Either breaking down in a car as a student, or Nuneaton Borough giving Burton Albion a good thrashing (mainly).

In 35 years iv'e never met this bailiff!! But looking forward to bumping into him & challenging him about his members leaving bags of rubbish/human waste around the water!! Most on site are rather friendly & spent many an hour chatting & having the occasional beer over the years !! Just a thought anyone wishing to go Sun may want to wait till late afternoon as there's an angling match on & the stage next to it's favoured willow will probably be used!!

Possible Greenish Warbler at Earlswood Lakes - reliable observer reports hearing calls that sounded right for Greenish and saw bird in flight with perhaps hint of wingbar but not definite. This was at entrance to lakes from Malthouse Lane car park and it was moving towards Clowes Wood & New Fallings Coppice. Also Redstart in hedge beside the car park making its way towards houses.

Common Crane

Common Crane over Stratford Upon Avon 18th Sept 7:25pm

Flying West, High and calling regularly

Also, does anyone know who the Warwickshire County recorder is as I have a few retrospective reports.

Thanks

Had a look for the Yellow-browed at Earlswood today but no sign in blustery conditions, there were 1 or 2 Chiffchaff & a few Goldcrest with a Tit flock.

Mike.

Caspian Gull (2w) with green darvic ring on ice at Engine Pool, Earlswood Lakes this morning, last seen at 10:00am. Was also seen yesterday morning and on January 30th. Photos on my Twitter.
