As in post #34 above. These are available now and will enable you fit any strap arrangement that the older series did.

The language isn't too clear but the Eagle Optics write-up on the new version of the SV mentions "improved coating technology." Hard to tell if that applies to SV's in general or only the new ones. If anyone actually notes any changes let us know.

The write-up on the current non improved model also mentions "improved coating technology". When recently researching the 10X50SV, I was told by Swarovski that they are optically the same. Are they really the same, I would say they are, but maybe not.|:||:-O

The new EL models seem to have an updated focuser (dealer info),
it's faster, only 2 turns, vs the previous 2.5 turns, so the mechanics would not be the same,
I can't confirm this yet, but hopefully I will be able to try the new models next week,
price increase seems to be 5% here,
(current 10% rebate not included)

yes, the diopter lock is definitely new, you turn the top plate of the focus wheel to unlock it,

Well how about that. Evidently a fairly substantial redesign of the whole focus/diopter mechanism.

Actually it is an "improved" focussing mechanism and the difference in tension CW versus CCW is less prominent, but don't tell Brock. He will take all the credit for itB

Thanks for asking before Brock uses it for his own purposes

It is now (if possible) even smoother than before due to the reduced tensionspring CW - CCW.
Again another example of Swarovski's drive to improve the best quality3

@Vesp, I don't know. I had them in my hands yesterday (reps sample) and did not check that. We will get them all next week.
