    Extreme Digiscoping

That looks a superb device, but it does need a hotshoe (my Mk1 sony hasnt got one), and possibly only works with sony. What I use is a loupe similar to this one on my compact camera which will fit all 3" LCD screens. Loupe for 3" Screens See image below.

    Extreme Digiscoping

About 6 years ago there were lots of devices available that turned the rear LCD into a large high resolution EVF. I cant remember their collective name now, but quite a few manufacturers made them. I still use a non branded one on my RX100 Mk1. They are a bit like a Loupe which were made for...

    Dartmoor small bird, June2016.

I have not seen one of these before, (mind you I always find Dartmoor birds very elusive to even see, let alone photograph.) , It was sitting in amongst these branches on low scrub open moorland, when it moved agian, it still did not perch on top of any branches, but in amongst branches once...

Is this a Brambling, East Devon, UK.

I can not match the red on the head and chest of this bird with any other brambling images. But i think it must be a Brambling. Is it a chick? Photographed today: 9 June 2016 in East Devon, UK. thanks - Adrian

UK, Devon. Coal Tit with Melanism ?

At a mid Devon nature reserve I was photographing birds at a feeding station and along with Great Tits, Blue Tits and Robins, were lots of Coal Tits and this dark bodies tit? It behaved in a similar way to the other Coal Tits and was a similar size. Is it a Coal Tit with Melanism or is it a...

Warbler or? 10june2015, South West UK

The unusual voice of this small bird - about the size of a sparrow - drew me, as I have never heard it before. Although in a small bush it was in a reed bed beside Exeter Canal (South West UK) on 10th June 2015. The voice was a bit like a 1 second rattle, rising slightly, and it kept on...

    Warbler? South West, UK.

Sadly they both worked away very quietly. I am very familiar with the Chiffchaff call, but have never seen one close up. Thanks to all for ID'ing it for me. PS. It doesn't look like any of the Chiffchaff pictures in the books I have, it looked far 'chubbier', but then it was very cold.

    Warbler? South West, UK.

2 of these darling little birds visited our garden 2 days ago - 24 March 2013, in a bush and also flitting around in the grass. They are very small - much smaller than a Robin. ...and also extremely 'agitated' in behaviour, only staying still in one spot for a fraction of a second (hence very...

    Digibinning with Olympus SP-800 UZ

Hi NhazUI I don't visit the forum much now, but I still do a fair bit of both digiscoping and digibinning. If you align the Binoculars and the 800uz correctly you should get some good results. I do not have that camera, so it is possible that internally the lens may retract away from the front...

Devon, UK. Small Chubby Diver & Tall Wader

Walking the River Otter today in South East Devon, UK. I came across two birds I have no previous experience of. B1: The first is a small diving bird about half the size of a mallard, it would stay under the water for at least 10 seconds before re-emerging. I have no idea of what this is at...
