Lesvos - Skalla Kallonis or Sigri ?

Having been to Lesvos for the first time in April/May 2014 I would like to try a hotel or apartment in Sigri some year. You could get up nice and early and have breakfast and be out birding by 8:00am I think this would give a real advantage, rather than driving from the Skala area. Must try...

Arranmore Magheroarty & Blanket Nook Southerly winds made our trip to Arranmore Island a bit of a damp squib. Overcast conditions with sea mist and low cloud spoiled birding. No sign of the Snowy Owl & no seabirds other than a few Gannets & gulls. Walked the Burtonport Railway track footpath...

Not much in the way of recorded visits to Tory this year? I hope to get over next week. Looking forward to an autumn trip or two this year, never know what may turn up. Richard

    Swarovski ATX 85mm

New modular spotting scope by Swarovski Optik. An excellent scope with a noticeably bright and sharp image. This scope has a very handy digiscoping attachment which allows rapid attachment of camera to scope.

    Swarovski ATX 95 Case

I had a look at the Cabelas case and its doubtful it would fit the ATX. I prefer the stay on case design as it offers good protection to the scope when out and about. I had ordered the Swarovski stay on case and finally picked it up yesterday. It is excellent and is everything I expected from...

    Swarovski ATX 95 Case

I was looking on Uttings web site and they showed stay on cases for both the eye piece and front piece as separate items. The price was close to £200 for both. Sounds very expensive as the last ones were £155.
