    Long tailed tits

    I've had long tail tits coming into my garden for the past 22 years and its still exciting! If you're getting goldfinches too, that's doubly so. Sure - some people get jaded and become dismissive or even contemptuous about familiar birds, but don't let them make their problem your problem.

    Osprey Sighting in the UK

    clever Robin

    Funny you should mention this. I haven't seen what you describe, but I just noticed this very morning a robin hanging upside down on a feeder, in the manner of a blue tit, and was thinking how this was unusual behaviour for a robin.

    Yup - I'm in agreement with capercaillie on this - mallard will perch quite high on sturdy enough branches - they quite often nest in pollarded willows, several feet above ground level. It certainly looks like duck poo.
