Birding solo in Malaysia & Singapore two weeks in february -march.

I lived in Singapore for many years and have family there so visited often until 2016. Wherever you go take plenty to drink with you as it may not be readily available. Pulau Ubin is good in places but you need to take a boat from Changi for the short crossing and don't miss the return! Pasir...

Lagos, Portugal, Gull with grey legs

My first visit to Portugal for 5 years in September and noticed this large Gull with pinkish grey legs, more like a Herring Gull than the expected Yellow-legged Gull. There seemed to be a lot of these about in addition to the Yellow-legged variety which were also present. Is it perhaps a...

    Lizard Point 14 June 22

It used to be at the SW corner of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, UK, according to the early maps, but more recently it has been treated as the southernmost point of the UK mainland about a mile further east.

    Lizard Point 14 June 22

Thanks for the responses, it was the wing pattern which threw me, only ever seen them once before and then only a handful of adults.

This one has me stumped but there seem to be quite a few on and around the rocks.

Flying over the sea off The Lizard, Cornwall

Woodpigeon was my thought but I was expecting black tips which must be hidden.. As for Hooded Crow, I had not thought of that - the 4 in the middle were far out to sea. Lots of Jackdaws around the cliffs but would not expect them way out?

Warbler, Tresillian Riverside, St Clement, Truro

Thanks all, did not even think of that one as the bill looks so long in the 3rd pic, probably appearing stretched by the fact that it flew! Never got a good look and thought it was a Tit the way it was flitting about until I saw the pale chin in the pics.

    Spain, Eagle? June, Cuenca.

Thanks. Never thought of that but saw one one perched on rocks earlier.

    Gull, Donegal coast, April 30th

OK, Thanks for that info. I only rarely get to coasts that have these Gulls, mostly just western Mediterranean and SE Asia.

    Gull, Donegal coast, April 30th

Thanks. Does this mean they only show the mirrors as adults or is it a seasonal thing due to wear, moulting and regrowth? Does the same apply to the Lesser Black-backed cousins?
