This one has me stumped but there seem to be quite a few on and around the rocks.

Hello,
agree with Ken, its a 2cy Kittiwake.
Faded and worn wing pattern of the juvenile plumage is still present in this one year old bird (would be pristine and more contrasting/stiking in a fresh juvenile now), and the bill is yellow (would be black in a juvenile Kittiwake).

Thanks for the responses, it was the wing pattern which threw me, only ever seen them once before and then only a handful of adults.

It used to be at the SW corner of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, UK, according to the early maps, but more recently it has been treated as the southernmost point of the UK mainland about a mile further east.
