Should I buy ELs now or wait for more new product releases this year?

Yea, thanks, I called them and they said the 30% "gear" is clothing. A sucker is born every minute...

Should I buy ELs now or wait for more new product releases this year?

Hi, it seems like the 8.5x42 is going for $1999. Is that the low price you guys are talking about? Swarovski is promoting a 30% discount code if you sign up for their newsletter. I got the code and have been trying to apply it to a couple of binoculars on their site and it's not working...

Swarovski Curio 7x21 versus Victory 8x25 and Ultravid 8x20

The Curio is a keeper. It's amazing. Very pleasing. It does quite well on a boat too.

Curio 7x21 vs. CL 8x25 pocket.

Hey, thanks guys. I don't have a need for the Curio...just really curious to check it out. I think I'll wait until a deal pops up or I lose patience. Have a great weekend. Dave

Curio 7x21 vs. CL 8x25 pocket.

I really like my Swarovski 8x25. I’ve had smaller bins but have never been overly impressed. I might have to try the Curio. Are there any good deals on these in the USA? Thanks

    Mountain Bike Binoculars

Hey, thanks. The photo was taken one morning in January in this botanical garden. Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden The Pacific Golden Plovers took off for Alaska this week. The bike is a Specialized Como. Very impressed with the comfort, handling, power and overall design / engineering.

    Mountain Bike Binoculars

The 8x25 is a very handy size for travel, biking and hiking. They really give a nice view...so much so that I sold off the larger ones. I switched to electric this year and love it. The binoculars ride in the small bag on the bars.

Zeiss Victory 8x25 vs. Nikon Monarch 7 8x30?

The Swaro 8x25 replaced my really nice 8x30 binos. I did have the Zeiss 8x25 but liked the Swaro's better. I'm in the minority on that. I'd say go for whichever 8x25 model you prefer. The canoe question depends how stable and confident you are in the canoe.

Fujinon new 12x28 vs Canon IS

Very glad to hear these bins are nice. I ended up getting the stabilized 10x compact Nikons and have been happy with those for travel. But, I agree with you 100% on the CR2 batteries. They are very expensive in the retail stores. My Nikon uses the same battery.

Looking for a discount on the Fujinon TS-X 1440

Hi Andy, The biggest improvement is how long they take to warm up. The old version would take quite a bit longer. This one is faster but it still takes a lot longer than my Canon which is instantly. That delay with the Fuji's would be an issue if you quickly wanted to view something which...

Looking for a discount on the Fujinon TS-X 1440

Hi Andy, The new model is superior. I’ve owned both. But I would only want them for a boat. They are overkill for the land. Dave

Looking for a discount on the Fujinon TS-X 1440

Yea, sorry. It's a pretty rare view when there is no wind. But, today is like that and I'm itching to go snorkeling at my spot... Leaving work now...

    Optics for a sea kayaker?

Get something with a real good warranty and maybe don't spend that much to start with. I got a West Marine brand 7 power years ago. I used it occasionally in a sailing kayak and even with a good rinse parts in the twist up eyepiece rusted out. After quite a few years I returned it and got a...
