    Canon IS Zoom Bins?

I did read all 36 (or so I thought!) but kinda lost the will to live at some point and probably ended up scanning most of 'em. I take it they don't exist then (I had checked for an April 1 date too!) Are Swaro coming out with IS bins then?

    Canon IS Zoom Bins?

Nope, checked again, this time from work and on the page linked under Product Category it's set to Binoculars and there seems to be nothing else worth selecting. The Sub Category only has Image Stabilisation available and again I can only see 6 products, none of which are zoom bins. Moving the...

    Canon IS Zoom Bins?

I'm not! - even following your link - all I can see is 6 products, none of which are zoom bins. Not helped by being in a rush to get to work I guess! Thanks for trying though.

    Canon IS Zoom Bins?

Why can't I find these bins on either the UK or the US Canon sites - or am I missing something here? an in joke? I currently use the 12x36 and love them but would certainly like to try something with a bit more reach.

    Lens to get the shot

Thanks - good to know - I'll seriously consider buying now. Trouble is I'm tempted to check out their 500F4 IS too. Anybody bought either from Kerso recently and know his prices?

    Lens to get the shot

Oneshotdigital seem to have the 300/2.8/IS for what looks like 3100 - OK, it's from HK but they claim to pay any VAT / import duty - is this a good price? are they reputable? anyone any experiences?

    Lens to get the shot

Thanks NK - bit out of my league (for rental) assuming it's pro-rata and 3 weeks works out at around £600. Admittedly it's still a fraction of the cost of a new 500 F4 or 300 F28 but it still sounds like a heck of a lot of money. Set me thinking what I would pay and I kinda feel that 250 would...

    Lens to get the shot

Digiscoping not really an option for 2 reasons - no plan to take scope (no room in luggage, not many real opportunities to use it otherwise) and secondly, I've not got a working digiscoping setup. OK, plenty of time to sort out but lack of space and opportunity kinda rules it out.

    Lens to get the shot

Good point - how and where then? Trip is gonna be approx 3 weeks away. Thanks for speedy reply!

    Lens to get the shot

Just re-read my post and realised what I'd missed - I'd forgotten the 1.6 crop factor of the Canon. Still I guess my overall question still stands, although the Olly is not going to be the way to go is it. Is Kerso still the man for Canon glass?

    Lens to get the shot

Going to be re-visiting a favoutire holiday destination in the new year and fully expect to get to see some osprey on a nest, maybe with young, maybe not but fairly close, certainly waay closer than I've ever got here in the UK, plus it's in good light. Got some half decent shots before, using...

    Anyone heard of this site?

Remember: if it seems too good to be true...... It's a classified ads site, buyer beware, surely. There's a Canon 70-300 IS on there for £290, hardly a bargain! The 600mm @ £2300 is better though.

    Camera & Lens Connection

My 40D and 100-400 exhibits the play you describe. I've not noticed it with other lenses and it's never seemed to have gotten any worse. It's not causing me any problems either. Its a subject that comes up quite often on various forums and I don't recall reading any horror stories. If you're...

    Stupid question about batteries

I think for UK users the clone batteries sold by 7-Day Shop are a pretty good deal. I got a pair for £9.95 + shipping and they have so far been as good or better than the Canon original supplied with my 40D

    birding related iPhone applications?

Hmmm. no responses so I'll add another question or two : anyone using the Video Guide to British Birds (iPod and iPhone edition) from Birdguides? Anyone got anything similar for identifying birds in the field? The Birdguides site also lists: DVD-ROM Guide to British Birds version 9 - any...
