    Extreme Digiscoping

Peregrine Falcon 2 weeks ago I had the chance to spot a Peregrine Falcon feeding in the salt marsh near St. Peter-Ording, North Sea, Germany. It was about 150 meters away. So I cranked the Kowa Zoom to 60x (884) and the Nikon S1 to full zoom (75mm) . Thats about 4500mm eq. But I couldn't...

    Digiscoping with the Samsung EX2F

I tried it. You cant eliminate the vignetting througout the entire zoom range. Sorry. I sent it back.

    Panasonic GX7 for Digiscoping....

Yes, i use a G5 with the Sigma 30mm for Digiscoping. Sometimes you'll get very funny pics with the electronic shutter. But it isn't that bad. Only fast moving Objects will cause that distorsion. I read an article about that. The sensor needs about 1/10 s for readout from top to bottom. So you'll...

    Digiscoping with a Panasonic G5

Hi, i'm using it with my Kowa 884 spotting scope and the sigma 30mm. You'll get no vignetting from 20x to 60x which gives you an f (eq) of 1200-3600mm. The results up to 2000mm are VERY good, if the target isn't too far away. For greater distances I prefer my old Nikon P6000.

    Sony RX100 for Digiscoping

Rx100mkii Hi, the RX100mkII is out... and it has a remote-option (wifi AND cable) and a tilting screen. BUT it will be expensive (749€) and the optional el. viewfinder (2MP) will be 449€.....

    Fuji SL1000

Hi and welcome! Its not a good idea to couple a superzoom with a scope. You will always get vignetting and the image quality will be poor. I tried out just for fun with my sx50..... Look at the other posts. Cameras with 3-5x zoom are the best (but not all of them) If you are a...

    olympus OM-D E-M5 vesus Nikon V1

Hi, I used the OM-D. Its a fantastic Camera, but it has a strong shutter vibration. It blurred many of my pictures above 1200mm while using a remote cable. The Nikon V1 has a fully electronic shutter with no vibration at all. Panasonic G5/GH3 have also a electronic shutter option.

    Sigma 30mm f2.8 for M4/3

Sigma 30mm with Kowa 884 and 20-60x Hi, I just tried out my new combination , the Sigma 30mm on my new Kowa 884. absolutely no vignetting from 20-60x. BUT: the pictures are good, but far away from the combination with my Nikon P6000. I have a new Olympus E-M5. Is it possible, that the movement...
