Bird ID - Austin TX area, Feb 2016

Can anyone help ID'ing a small flock of birds I saw while walking around the campus where I work in Austin, TX last week? I did not have binoculars and they would fly away when I got anywhere near so I did not get a great look; they are not birds I normally see so I assume they might be...

$100 small/"travel" binocular recommendations for eyeglass wearers?

sub-$150 small/"travel" binocular recommendations for eyeglass wearers? Any recommendations for lightweight, general purpose (not birding-specific) "travel" binoculars that work for eyeglass wearers in the under $150 range? I was thinking maybe Nikon Prostaff 8x25 ATB?

    Help with taxidermy birds

I'm not a lawyer, professor or curator, but I doubt any museum or university (which have the means to legally obtain specimens for study) would be interested in these (which are all very common birds). Honestly, I'd simply trash them.
