Genus: Casuarius
Description
Three large, flightless species from Australia and New Guinea.
All three share a casque or helmet on top of their head. Two species also have wattles.
Taxonomy
Casuarius is a genus in the family Casuariidae.
The closest relative of this genus is the Emu.
