Genus: Megalampitta

Description

If accepted this genus would contain only one species, Greater Melampitta from New Guinea.

Taxonomy

Megalampitta is a genus in the family Paradisaeidae or now placed in the new family Melampittidae.
It is usually included in the genus Melampitta. The Handbook of the Birds of the World places both genera in the family Eupetidae.
