Distribution

Africa: found in southern Angola, Zambia, southern south-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and western Malawi.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Miombo woodland.

Behaviour

Diet

Forages on the ground. The diet includes seeds.

Breeding

It weaves a large nest from grass and twigs.
