Identification

The female has a bronze nape.

Distribution

Africa;
Eastern Africa: Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar Archipelago, Zanzibar, Mozambique and Malawi
Southern Africa: Zimbabwe, South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal

Taxonomy

Subspecies

Columba delegorguei has two subspecies:[1]

  • C. d. sharpei
  • C. d. delegorguei

Habitat

Forest canopy.

Behaviour

Shy and often found in pairs.
